Where my shop-a-holics at?
Between my birthday, Christmas, and poor spending habits, I have acquired quite a few gadgets over the last two months. If you know me, you know that I have a shopping… condition. I love to peruse the aisle of literally any store and find things to buy. I love shopping so much that I even enjoy helping other people spend their money! Living this way has allowed me to use a lot of products, services, and tools. I’ve gotten pretty good at reviewing and recommending products for people like me!
By people like me, I mean lazy, 30+ year-olds, typically women/moms (but this list is gender neutral!) who enjoy *things*. Yes *things*. It’s very western world, captistlist of me but after 2020 I’m just doing whatever makes me smile for the moment! YOLO! Can we bring back that saying?
Anyway, here are 5 products that I have recently acquired and I thought they were amazing enough to share. I’d be shocked if you didn’t find an item on this list to change your life!
5 Life-Changing Products for Lazy People
Mini Fridge
I’ve been lusting after a bedside mini fridge for such a long time. The first time I thought about purchasing one was while I was breastfeeding my first daughter. Pumping in the middle of the night and then walking to the kitchen, while half asleep and half-dressed got old so fast. The only reason I didn’t buy one then is because mini-fridges weren’t as small and cheap as they are now. I no longer need this fridge to store breast milk overnight but it does come in handy to keep my beside water bottle cool, I also like to store my bag of Reese’s Mini in there so they are always cold and within reach. This comes in handy when I am hiding from my kids and don’t want to make too much noise in the kitchen rummaging for snacks. You can also use it to keep your skincare items cool.
The great thing about this unit is that it is portable. You can easily take this mini-fridge with you in your car on a road trip. It’s also very convenient for those of you who drive around all day for work (service people, Uber etc), you can keep food hot or warm in it all day. I keep mine right next to my bed, and because it’s so close to me I’, happy that it’s very quiet. I’m a light sleeper so I would definitely notice if it made loud noises all night! I picked up the 10 Liter Cooluli Mini Fridge . The 4 liter Cooluli is cheaper but you seriously can only fit a few bottles of breastmilk or pop cans. A 16 oz water bottle can’t fit in that one standing upright.

Phone Stand
I took my own advice when buying this item. I purchased a basic phone stand for my husband back in October as a Sweetest Day Gift. He often watches youtube videos while gaming or cooking but prior to the phone stand he would use household items to prop his phone up. I thought this would be a great gift for him. He liked it but neither of us foresaw me using it more than him! Y’all, it is soooo helpful! The only thing I didn’t like is that you cannot adjust the phone’s angle. I needed an upgrade and that’s how I ended up finding this phone stand. It has an adjustable height feature and a stand that allows almost a full range of motion.
I primarily use this gadget for Facetime calls. With me living in Arizona and most of my family living in Illinois, I spend a LOT of time on Facetime (mainly with my mommy, hey girl!). Having this stand, in conjunction with my Bluetooth headphones, helps me talk hands-free while also being able to be seen at the correct angle. No one likes talking to someone on Facetime but you can only see their mouth or up their nose the whole time. This eliminates that. It’s also useful for holding your phone at the proper angle when filming videos or going on live. I also use it when cooking in the kitchen or simultaneously watching videos and working at my desk. If any of those scenarios occur in your life, won’t regret this one at all!

Sleep Mask
As I said before, I am a very light sleeper. Unfortunately, I also suffer from insomnia so once I get to sleep, I need to stay asleep if I want to not be up all night. This MusiCozy sleep mask has been a great help with that. My dear husband got it for me for my birthday and I’ve used it every day since. I have tons of sleep masks, from different stores but this has been a true game-changer. Not only is it very soft and comfortable with its adjustable straps but it can be Bluetooth connected to your phone. This comes in handy if, like me, you listen to white noise to help you sleep.
Usually, I play rain sounds or ocean waves to calm me down and help me sleep more peacefully, or when the house is noisy and I need to take a nap. Having this mask helps me continue to listen to those rain sounds all night without them annoying hubby or having to worry about sleeping with my phone right next to my head all night.

Bed Table
This Christmas Gift truly brings out the lazy girl in me! Being a girl who has worked from home for the past 2 years and is currently still at home most of the time, I spend a lot of time in my bed. I’ve learned how to be just as productive, if not more productive, in my pajamas sitting comfortably in my bed. But, even with that, working in bed isn’t always comfortable which is why I wanted a desk for my bed.
They sell these desks and bed tray tables everywhere but the desk I have is the Cadillac of all desks and the price matches that sentiment. This thing has a built-in drawer, it tilts, has adjustable legs, and a bookstand. I love it! The best part is its versatility. This can be used for working and eating in bed for sure, but it can also be put on top of a desk and used as a standing workstation. It’s actually a lot cheaper than a lot of the standing desk converters and more practical since it has multiple uses. It can also be put on the floor and used by children doing their homework, eating in their room, or during potty training. We actually put this over my daughter’s legs while she sits on the potty so she can easily play with puzzles, coloring books, or eat snacks while she sits on the pot.

Security Camera
I’ve written about how I used these Yi Home cameras to help monitor my kids, but I thought they deserved a second mention. With me working from home, having these cameras in all rooms in my house is super helpful. I often have early morning zoom meetings that I need to attend. Having a camera in our breakfast nook helps me be present in my meeting while also monitoring my children from my phone while they eat breakfast or watch TV.
These will also be helpful for parents with kids who need to stay at home for e-learning while they work or run errands. I’m not encouraging people to leave minors at home unattended… but these are unprecedented times. We have to do the best we can. I was a latch key kid so I won’t demonize any parent who is being forced to work and can’t afford childcare. If you are in that situation, having cameras in your home helps greatly.
